The Futsal Super League heads into MatchDay 16 with high stakes as four in form teams clash at Old Kampala Futsal Arena on Friday, March 28, 2025.
With a total of six games scheduled, the spotlight will be on the two biggest fixtures of the night, featuring Mengo City – Kabuusu Clouds and Park FC – Edgar’s Youth Programme.
Mengo City, the league’s most in-form team, will put their 14 game unbeaten streak on the line against a resurgent Kabuusu Clouds.
Sitting in second place with 33 points, just two behind leaders Park FC, Mengo City has been a dominant force since their opening day loss (7-5) to Park FC.
Their last outing saw them thrash Kisugu FC 8-3 with Ian Tugume stealing the show by scoring his second hat-trick of the season.
Mengo City’s success has been fueled by a dynamic squad, including Abdulkarim Tebela, Opuuli Sharif, Anthony Male, Samuel Omara, and Farouk Tumwesigye though the latter has been absent due to school commitments.
Kabuusu Clouds, currently fifth with 23 points enters the match in high spirits after registering the biggest win of Matchday 15, a 9-3 demolition of QC Mbarara.
Their star duo, Gadaffi Bazanyanengo (22 goals) and Ssemwogerere Tony, have combined for nearly 40 goals this season, making them a serious threat to Mengo City’s unbeaten run.
Elsewhere, league leaders Park FC take on Edgar’s Youth Programme in a matchup that could shake up the standings.
Park FC is unbeaten in 11 games with only one defeat in their last two seasons, making them clear favorites. However, they will be wary of an Edgar’s side that has found its rhythm.
After losing their first eight games, Edgar’s Youth has turned their campaign around, dropping just six points in their last seven matches.
Their recent form has seen them score from all angles, with key players Brian Olwa, Mustafa Ssemakula, Eze Kombi, and Charles Okello leading the charge.
Park FC, under the guidance of Alex Ssegawa has relied on Jalil Zimula and Michael to fill the void left by their departed top scorer Abbas Muluya Junior.
However, Edgar’s Youth, now coached by Adam Masembe enters the match in their best form yet, making this an intriguing contest.
The action-packed day will also feature four more exciting matchups:

- QC Mbarara Vs Lubaga Grameen – (5 PM)
