Uganda’s leading betting company Fortebet created a moment of joy and happiness at Mik Foundation orphanage home after following their visit to the orphanage with relief items including mattresses, blankets and food (rice).
The exercise was spearheaded by Fortebet brand ambassador, Alex Muhangi, who handed over the items.
According to the orphanage founder, Sophie Kati, the founder of the orphanage said did not hide her feelings regarding the donation.
She narrates; “I started this home in 2013 while I was working on Liberty Fm after seeing many kids without parents suffer. Every now and then, I would get information about children, especially orphans that were going through immense domestic problems,” adding that, “With my 300k salary, my husband and I started this home. I am happy that big companies like Fortebet have joined me in giving these kids a better future.”
Alex Muhangi also revealed that Fortebet needed to share solidarity with the orphanage that is doing a tremendous job with the helpless children.
“We have come to show solidarity to this home because we are aware of how much it is of great help to the helpless and suffering kids. Our pledge is; this is the start, more will still come,” Muhangi said while handing over the donation.
