The Uganda men’s national football team, The Uganda Cranes has maintained it’s 84th rank in the latest FIFA Men’s rankings released on Thursday.
Uganda also occupies 16th spot amongst the African countries. The Cranes were ranked 84th for the last May as well when the rankings were last released by FIFA.
Uganda remains the best ranked in CECAFA region followed by Kenya who have dropped two places to 104, Sudan ( 121) Rwanda (127) Tanzania (135), Ethiopia ( 137), Burundi (140), South Sudan ( 165), Djibouti ( 182), Somalia ( 196) and Eritrea ( 204) follow in that order.
The Cranes played in an International friendly match against South Africa in June, losing 3-2 at the Orlando Stadium.
The next rankings will be released on 16th September 2021.
