FIBA U18 AfroBasket: Junior Gazelles advance to first ever semi-final

Uganda Women U18 National Basketball team, Junior Gazelles have reached the FIBA U18 Afrobasket semi-final for thé first time.

The John Omondi coached side managed to beat Tunisia 69-53 with Resty Nanangwe taking care of the offense, contributing 27 Points, 8 Rebounds and 7 Steals.

Immaculate Adongpiny also managed 12 points, 9 Rebounds and 3 Steals a point more than Shiphrah Kiranda who made 10 Points, 8 Rebounds, 3 Steals.

This was however Uganda’s second win over the 2004 champions since 2008 when they won 77-38 before losing 65-26 in 2016.

Uganda will face the winner between Cameroon and Angola in the semi-final in order to clinch a place in the final.
