The state of former footballers and ex-internationals is not the best you can wish for any player who has ever lifted the National Flag wholeheartedly.
After the death of Jimmy Kirunda, we came to learn of another former international, Obadiah Ssemakula, dubbed Musanvu we’ ggwanga, whose health not been well for quite some time. He has been suffering from a kidney failure problem for quite a long period now.
Since then, a group of former Footballers, friends, and the FUFA have come to the rescue of Obadiah providing him with moral and financial support.
On 5th June, 2020, Farooq Ntege, a former boxer at Kololo high school Boxing Club also came out and extended support to the former Cranes international at his home in Nabisaalu zone, Makindye.
Ntege donated food relief worth Shs. 1M and Shs. 1M in cash to cater for the medication of the former winger, Ssemakula.
Obadiah Ssemakula was a teammate to Farooq Ntege at Kololo boxing club before switching to football where he was nicknamed Musanvu we’ ggwanga for his exploits from the width and brilliant crosses which made fans fall in love with his style.
