“l have roots here, and further to that, its quite an enticing environment which every player would love to play in. All the necessary facilities for the development of talent are available,” he added.

When asked what his first reaction was when he learnt that Vipers SC was interested in him, the soft-spoken left-back noted that it was the greatest feeling any Ugandan player could have at that moment.

“When a club like Vipers shows interest in you, it’s such a good feeling because it’s a big club. With Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa who has nurtured many players at the helm, it becomes even more appealing to any footballer.”

Galiwango also vowed to help the Venoms perform better in next season’s CAF Champions League.

“Vipers is a winning team. Therefore, I want to continue with the same spirit in a bid to achieve more silverware with the club. Secondly, l want to help the club perform better in the Caf Champions League as l also use the same platform to achieve my professional football dreams.”

“I‘m going to do my best to carry on with helping the team progress further from where I have found it, even more so next season. I hope to make them smile.”

Vipers will represent Uganda in the CAF Champions League next season after winning their fourth title of Uganda’s first division football league.

Galiwango spent two seasons at Express being deployed at both Left-back and left-wing positions with his most productive season being the recently concluded 2019/20 StarTimes UPL season where he found the back of the net on 6 occasions.
