This weekend had former Vipers and Villa midfielder, Taddeo Lwanga, Patrick Henry Kaddu and William Wadri score vital goals for their respective sides as David Owori and Edrisa Lubega debuted for their respective sides. This is how Ugandan professionals fared over the weekend.

Starting off in Tanzania, Taddeo Lwanga struck the only goal of the game as Simba SC defeated Yanga FC to lift the Azam Sports Federation Cup at the Lake Tanganyika Stadium. Taddeo’s strike came in the 79th minute.

Heading to Kenya, William Wadri also netted the lone goal as Bandari United FC defeated Posta Rangers 1-0 in the FKF Premier League. His teammate, Umar Kasumba didn’t make the matchday squad for the weekend.

Still in the FKF, Benjamin Ochan finally returned in goal after a few weeks out with an injury as AFC Leopards drew two-all with Nzola Sugar.

In Denmark, Moses Opondo was an unused substitute for Odense Boldkub as they played out to a 1-all stalemate with Randers FC in the Danish Super Ligue.

Still in the Danish Super Ligue, Robert Kakeeto was absent from the matchday squad as his side, AaB Aalborg lost 1-0 to Midtjylland.

Into England, Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru started and assisted as his new side, Middlesbrough defeated Plymouth 2-1 in a pre-season friendly.

Jordan Obita also featured for Wycombe Wanderers as they defeated Aylesbury United 3-1 while youngster Jayden Onen was absent from Reading FC squad as they drew 1-all with Charlton Town.

In Scotland, Bevis Mugabi didn’t make it to the matchday squad as his Motherwell FC defeated Annan Athletic 2-0 in the Scottish league cup.

In the USA, Mike Azira was the introduction in the 77th minute as New Mexico drew goalless with El Paso Locomotive in the United States league.

Mustafa Kizza was introduced in the 83rd minute for Zorhan Bassong as his side, Montreal Impact lost 2-1 to New England Revolution. New Revolution is the home of Edward Kizza who never made the matchday squad.

In Spain, David Owori made his debut for Velez FC as they lost 2-0 to Malaga FC in the Pre-season friendly.

In the Czech Republic, Isaac Muleme featured full-time as his Viktoria Zizkov side lost 3-2 to Lisen in the Czech National Football League.

In Portugal, Edrisa Lubega was a second-half substitute as his side, Estrella da Amadora secured a 2-1 victory over Vizela in the Taca da Liga.

In Turkey, Farouk Miya was absent from the matchday squad as his Konyaspor FC side were 2-1 winners against BB Erzurumspor in a friendly.

In Morocco, Patrick Henry Kaddu scored one of the three goals for his club Youssoufia Berrechid as they beat Difaa Hassani El Jadidi 3-2 in the Morocco Botola Pro League.
