City Oilers name squad to fight for BAL ticket

National Mens Basketball Champions, City Oilers have revealed their squad for the upcoming 2024 Basketball Africa League Elite 16 round.

Despite winning the league, the Champions had initially earned a bye just after the previous Road to BAL qualification round after securing a place at this year’s BAL finals last season.

The Oilers will hope to grab one of the three available tickets when the Division East Elite 16 which is set to start on 21st November and climax on 26th in the city of Johannesburg, South Africa.

Unlike the previous edition, the nine-time Ugandan Champions will this time be without longtime Guard Jimmy Enabu who is out of the traveling squad due to unavoidable circumstances

Apart from Enabu, Luak Ruai, Caeser Kizito, Ben Komakech, Henry Mulira, and Moses Maker are a the other notable names out .

However, Robinson Opong Odoch and Germain Roebuck Junior from last season’s BAL squad return as Silverback’s Brandon Ssebirumbi has been included just like the two American Miller Junior Dane Anthony and Guard Parish Petty Perry.

Only three sides (the two finalists and third place winner) will get a ticket for BAL.
