Bright Stars Football Club parted ways with Head Coach Joseph Mutyaba instantly on Friday 1st November 2024 after 13 months.

This happened after a string of poor results that included starting their campaign without a win in seven games played so far leading to the termination of his contract.

He joins a long list of Uganda Premier League coaches let go this season like Baker Mbowa (Express FC), Nikola Kavazovic ( Vipers SC), Brian Ssenyondo ( Kitara FC), Sadiq Ssempigi (Lugazi FC) and Richard Malinga ( Mbale Heroes).

Mutyaba’s role will be assumed by Ian Mutenda on Interim Head Coach as the club begins the process of identifying a permanent replacement.

Mutenda will work with Danny Kirumira, Sula Sebunza and former Vipers goal keeping coach Ibrahim Mugisha.

Bright stars currently lay bottom of the Uganda Premier League table with three points all collected from three away draws against SC Villa, Police and Wakiso Giants.

The Kavumba side will host their next game at home against Kitara Football Club on Friday 8th November 2024.
