KCCA FC has completed the signing of former player and defender, Brian Majwega from URA FC according to sources close to the player and club.

Brian Majwega returns to KCCA FC ahead of the 2021/22 StarTimes UPL, a side he last featured for in the 2016/17 season under former club manager, Mike Mutebi, before leaving to join Tanzanian side, Azam FC.

Majwega brings the much-needed experience to a younger KCCA side under former Assistant cum Head coach Morley Byekwaso who are trying to restore the Kasasiro Boys’ glorious days.

KCCA FC finished 4th in the previously concluded Startimes Uganda Premier league which remains their worst finish in the last decade. They are seeking to revamp their playing squad following a dismal performance last season.

Brian Majwega has previously featured for Tanzania’s Azam FC before joining Simba SC where he had a wrangle with Kyetume FC coach, Jackson Mayanja, before returning to Uganda. Upon return, Majwega joined Maroons FC in 2018/19 before joining URA FC in 2019/20.

Majwega is expected to occupy the left-back position where Herbert Achai and Hassan Musana battled for a spot but still failed to perform to expectation at the Lugogo based side.

Details about the contract length will be updated soon.
