Uganda Sports top awards, Real Stars Sports Monthly awards enter 2025 with three Athletes from three disciplines; Boxing, Football and Netball receiving appreciation for their superior performance in December.
In boxing, accolade went to a star in the making Nuhu Batte who beat off competition from Owen Kibira and Ezra Ssali to emerge December Boxer of the Month.

The Youngster destroyed every boxer he faced in season three of the Uganda Boxing Champions league winning all his 5 bouts in the year 2024.
In December, the Welterweight 67kgs Boxer registered the most remarkable win against his Gym captain and national team (Bombers) leader Ukasha Matovu in a Uganda Boxing Chanmpions League final held at UMA on Boxing Day to take home the weight belt.
While receiving the accolade at the event held at Lazio restaurant in Kololo on Tuesday 7th January 2025, Batte vowed;
“I thank Fortebet and Jude Colour Solutions for this award, this is my beggining, my Dream is too big, my aims are not here, I am looking to become an international boxer”
In football under 17 (Uganda Cubs) prospect James Bogere defeated his seniors from the Uganda Cranes side Jude Ssemugabi and CHAN captain Allan Okello to secure December Award.

Bogere shined with 7 goals and an assist from 4 games at CECAFA U17 qualifier tournament that guided Uganda to the AFCON finals in Morocco.
For Netball Margret Baagala won the accolade after beating off competition from fellow she cranes players Gloria Aya and professional Netball player Marry Nuba having helped Uganda to finish second at Africa Cup in Namibia.
