Bidco Uganda Limited (BUL) FC head coach Arthur Kyesimira has been suspended by FUFA following a review of the comments he made on 26th February 2021 during the StarTimes UPL game between BUL FC and MYDA at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe.
Kyesimira made the ‘harmful and offensive’ comments against match officials which prompted his expulsion from the Technical Area for the rest of the match.
Disciplinary proceedings were opened against Kyesimira after the match and FUFA after thorough investigations found out that statements the coach made appeared to be in contravention of the FUFA Competitions rules which were interpreted as ‘threatening match officials’.
FUFA, through their Disciplinary and Ethics Committee, has now suspended the BUL tactician, who is away with Uganda’s U17 team the Cubs and will be returning from Morocco where they had gone to take part in the AFCON U17 tournament before it was called off by CAF.
Kyesimira’s sanction will last for two competitive matches and from all football-related activities effective 9th March 2021.
Kyesimira will now miss BUL’s game on Wednesday when they face Soltilo Bright Stars at the Kavumba Recreation Center, Wakiso, plus their home game against Kitara on Saturday.
