Defender Arafat Galiwango has completed his move to the four-time Uganda Premier league champions Uganda Revenue Authority.
The lanky defender joins the tax Collectors on a three-year deal with an option of a fourth year from Police FC and becomes the club’s fourth signing of the ongoing transfers window after Nunda Jackson, Hannington Sebwalunyo and Ssali Davis.
I am really, really happy to be at this great club, a club with a good history, and a proven manager as well,” Galiwango told the URA website before adding,
“I have come here to try to improve and get better because I know as a player you always learn something new every day be it in training, during or after a match,”
“I’ve also come here to help the team to win and play some good football.”
“I’m looking forward to achieving great things here – and winning trophies again with URA because it has been a while, which is what everyone’s aim is.” He concluded.
Last season, Galiwango featured in 23 of the 24 league games for Police FC, helping the Cop’s to 4 cleansheets.
At URA, He is expected to slot into the starting lineup as left back after Brian Majwega who occupied the position is expected to be pushed further forward.
