Alberto Antuna steps down from his Gazelles head coach role

Shortly after helping the Gazelles attain the Seventh (7th) position at the FIBA Women’s AfroBasket in Kigali – Rwanda, Alberto Antuna leaves his head coach role.

This was revealed by Alberto on Monday morning via his social media platforms.

It is believed that Antuna stepped down from his role due to his hectic schedule since he was also doubling as an assistant coach at the Spanish club Movistar Estudiantes in Liga LEB Oro.

With the FIBA Women Afrobasket Qualifiers (Zone V) in sight, Assistant Coach Nicholas Natuhereza is set to handle the side as FUBA look for a replacement.
