A provisional squad of 39 Uganda Hippos (U-20) players has been named by the team’s head Coach Morley Byekwaso ahead of 2023 All Africa Games.
Express FC forward Alpha Thierry Ssali returns to the side after the U20 tournament in Egypt.
For Travis Mutyaba and Allan Oyirwoth who have recently featured for the Uganda Cranes, too return to improve and add more quality to the side.
The team will enter a residential training camp on Thursday at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
Uganda was placed in Group B alongside Nigeria, South Sudan, Senegal and Tunisia with the tournament set to kick off on 7th March and climax on 24th March 2024 in Accra, Ghana.
