JKL Lady dolphins have won their second game at this year’s FIBA Africa Zone Five Qualifiers defeating Tanzania’s JKT Stars by 89 – 41 at the LDK Gymnasium in Rwanda.
The recently crowned Ugandan Champions have only lost one game to Kenya’s Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) by 72 – 82 on Sunday but managed to beat South Sudan’s Nile Legends by 84 – 30 on opening day. JKL has only a game left in pool B against hosts Rwanda Energy Group (REG)
Pool A has APR of Rwanda, Kenya’s Equity Bank Hawks, Tanzania champions Vijana Queens and Gladiators from Burundi.
The tournament will climax on November 4 with all action happening at the Lycee De Kigali in Rwanda.
All the nine teams are fighting for three slots available at the 2023 Africa Women’s Basketball League which is set to take place in Egypt between December 8 and 17.
