2021 AFCON qualifiers: Abdallah Mubiru names starting XI against Burkina Faso

Interim head coach Abdallah Mubiru has named the Uganda Cranes starting lineup against Burkina Faso For the 2021 AFCON qualifier Group B game.

Goalkeeper and captain Denis Onyango will start in between the goalposts, while Azam’s Nicholas Wadada and TP Mazembe’s Joseph Ochaya have been deployed at the right and left of the Cranes’ backline respectively.

Halid Lwaliwa, scorer of the lone goal against South Sudan at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende is partnering Murushid Juuko in Central defence.

It is a compact midfield that has Taddeo Lwanga, Mike Azira and Farouk Miya.

The three-man attack force has Abdul Lumala, Emmanuel Okwi and Patrick Kaddu.

The Cranes need maximum points against the Stallions to potentially seal an AFCON berth for the third consecutive time.

The match is live on UBC TV and BeIN Sports channel 3.
