URA FC got back to winning ways away against Wakiso Giants with a 3-0 score line in the Uganda Premier League game at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Godfrey Ssekibengo opened the scoring, three minutes to close the first half and Ivan Ahimbisibwe came through with a second stanza brace in the 58th and 64th minute respectively.
After the game URA FC’s head Coach Alex Isabirye picked out lack of a proper pre-season as one reason his side has performed to its expectations;
“It’s not easy to win here 3-0 but still it doesn’t mean that everything is okay” he started
Adding that; “As you know we didn’t go through proper preseason training and in life there is a way everything should be done.”
“However we are paying the price but let’s see as we go forward” he continued
“At the moment, we are not focussed on the trophy but if it comes we shall welcome it” he concluded
URA FC who currently lay 5th on the Log with 14 points will play their next League game at home against the firing NEC FC on Thursday 5th December 2024.
