Three time Uganda Cup winners URA FC will face Regional League side Kalongo United FC at the Kalongo Tech Institute in Northern Uganda on Wednesday afternoon.
Having never met before, this is set to be a new discovery for the Uganda Premier League side just like Kalongo.
A head of the game, URA Head Coach Alex Isabirye labeled this as a final and laid out his strategy;
“This place is too hot but We are playing a final on Wednesday where we need to do anything to win” He said
“It’s hard to read into the opposition at the moment so we are going to use the first 15 minutes of the game to do that”
“We are going to make sure we don’t concede during those minutes.”
Having stopped at the Round of 16 in the previous campaign, URA’s Isabirye was asked about this year’s target;
“The Uganda Cup is a tricky competition, one where you don’t know your next two opponents so our focus is always on the game infront of us” he answered
There will be more two games played on the day as Mbarara FC host Wakiso Giants at Kakyeka stadium whereas Mayuge United FC welcome Lugazi FC to the Wembely Play Ground. All games are played at 3pm.
