Wakiso Giants: Purple Sharks earn Ward Wizard Uganda partnership

Wakiso Giants Football Club also known as the Purple Sharks has earned financial support from Ward Wizard Solutions Uganda Limited, a company based in India, at a ceremony held at the Grand Imperial Hotel.

The event was attended by Ward Wizard Solutions General manager Nirav Shah, Wakiso Giants’ chairman Hassan Lule, Club CEO Sula Kamoga, head of corporate affairs Ismail Kiyonga, head coach Douglas Bamweyana, a player Joshua Lubwama.

Wakiso Giants who are featuring in Uganda’s top-flight league for just a second season will reap Shs 200,000,000 from the innovations and Mobility company in four batches with the first installment of Shs 50,000,000 already released.

The partnership will also involve Ward Wizard’s three sister brands including; Joy e-bike, Vyom Electronics, and Home Appliances and Motorol (specialty, industrial, automotive lubricants) which are expected to be part of Wakiso Giant’s shirt for the 2020/21 season.

Vyom will appear at the front part of the shirt, Joy e-back on the sleeve, and Motorol at the lower back of the jersey.

Ward Wizard Solutions’ Nirav assured Wakiso Giants full support for the period of the partnership.

When we were approached by the management of Wakiso Giants Football Club, we took the time to research about them. They have organized football values which rhyme with our objectives. They also have a passionate big fan base.

Sula Kamoga on the other end assured the partners of sporting excellence on and off the field of play, resounding the values of the club in the process.

Wakiso Giants Football Club is a trusted brand. We are committed to growing and winning with our partners. We target excellence on and off the field of play as we shall be competing for the trophy. We are ready to compete in all sports avenues. We are humbled for Ward Wizard Uganda’s sponsorship. Our budget for the season is Shs 1 billion and we welcome more sponsors on board.

Club chairperson Lule said they played the first season in the top tier without any recognizable sponsors because they needed to take time and identify the sponsors who would add value to their institution.

We took our time to get the potential sponsors. We needed someone with value addition. Our sponsors had three brands that can boost the. Soccer is for business, recreation, identity and social interactions (unity). Wakiso Giants identifies with the youth in our five year plan. A lot is in the pipe line with Wakiso District Administration.

Wakiso Giants take on Police FC in their first match of the 2020-21 season at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Friday, 4th December 2020,- another match which will be broadcast live on Sanyuka TV.
