Vipers SC, SC Villa Tie Headlines Uganda Cup Quarterfinal Draws

The highly anticipated Stanbic Uganda Cup Quarterfinal draws were held at Plascon Head Offices in Kampala, Industrial Area and as expected some thrilling matchups have emerged.

One of the standout ties is the clash between Uganda Premier League leaders Vipers SC and rivals SC Villa. This encounter promises to be a thrilling one, with both sides looking to advance to the semifinals.

For Vipers SC, this match represents an opportunity for redemption. The two teams last met in a league fixture where SC Villa emerged victorious with a 1-0 win, leaving Vipers SC eager to get revenge in this knockout competition. The historic rivalry between the two clubs will surely add an extra layer of excitement to what is already a highly anticipated matchup.

In another intriguing tie, KCCA FC, whose only chance at silverware this season rests in the Uganda Cup, will travel to the western part of Uganda to face off with Big League side Kaaro Karungi.

KCCA FC has had a challenging season so far, and this competition is their last hope for a trophy. Meanwhile, Kaaro Karungi will be hoping to make a statement by defeating one of the most successful clubs in Ugandan football history.

Police FC will be at home to face Kataka FC, and this match is expected to be a hard-fought contest. With the home advantage, Police FC will be determined to progress, but Kataka FC will not be easily deterred, as they look to continue their strong campaign in the competition.

The defending champions, Kitara FC will also have a tough challenge ahead as they host BUL FC. Kitara will be looking to defend their title and advance to the semifinals while BUL FC will be eager to upset the champions and secure their place in the next round.

The quarterfinal matches are scheduled to take place between the 18th and 22nd of April, with all four ties offering something special for football fans in Uganda.
