- Uganda-W 119/7 in 20 overs (Janet Mbabazi 25, Stephanie Nampiina 30)
- Namibia-W 45/10 in 14.2 overs (Merzerly Gorases 10, Edelle Van 8)
Uganda won by 74 runs
Uganda’s Victoria Pearls delivered a resounding message to their fellow finalists, Namibia, with a dominant 74-run victory at the Lakeside Oval, Entebbe.
Already assured of a spot in the final after Nepal’s triumph over Hong Kong, Uganda used the match to assert their strength ahead of the title showdown.
Batting first, Uganda recovered from an early setback to post 119/7 in 20 overs. Despite losing Proscovia Alako for a golden duck, key contributions from Janet Mbabazi (25), Immaculate Nakisuuyi (20), and a powerful 30-run knock from Stephanie Nampiina propelled Uganda past the 100-run mark.
Malisa Ariokot (19) added vital late runs, capitalizing on Namibia’s inconsistent bowling, which conceded 11 extras.
In response, Namibia’s chase never gained momentum, collapsing to 45 all out in just 14.1 overs.
The Namibian lineup crumbled under Uganda’s relentless bowling and sharp fielding, with four run-outs adding to their woes.
Only Merzerly Gorases (10) managed double figures as key batters fell cheaply, including captain Suné Wittmann (8).
Immaculate Nakisuuyi (2/14) led Uganda’s disciplined bowling attack, well-supported by Mutoni Irene (1/9), Consylate Aweko (1/3), Janet Mbabazi (1/4), and Sarah Akiteng (1/14).
Namibia’s struggles were evident as they lost their last five wickets for just 12 runs.
This commanding victory reinforced Uganda’s dominance despite earlier setbacks in the tournament and sent a clear warning to Namibia ahead of their rematch in the final.
Meanwhile, Nepal and Hong Kong China will battle for third place in the playoff.
