Ten man KCCA FC secured a 2-1 victory against UPDF FC in the Startimes Uganda Premier League match played at Bombo military playgrounds as they picked up back to back wins for the first time in the second round of the season.
Arafat Usama and Sadat Anaku scored for the visitors with Samson Kigozi scoring the consolation for UPDF FC against his former employees in a game which saw Joel Sserunjogi being sent off after a second bookable offense.
KCCA FC dominated the game from the start and in the 6th minute, Arafat Usama opened up the scoring as he curled in a shot to the left corner off a cross from Haruna Lukwago to give the visitors about early lead.
Joel Sserunjogi saw his first booking of the day come in the 38th minute after a foul on Ronald Kayondo as the game went into the break with the Kasasiro boys in a 1-0 lead.
With just 3 minutes into the second half, Sserunjogi was at the back of another bookable offense and the referee made no mistake as he turned the two yellows in a red card to reduce the visitors to 10 men.
The kasasiro boys remained a fierce side despite going a man down and in the 69th minute striker Sadat Anaku doubled their lead as he tapped in from close range after a beautiful display from Saidi Mayanja and Sharifu Ssengendo.
With ten minutes on the clock, Samson Kigozi pulled a goal back for UPDF FC as he scored against his former side I’m what was just a consolation as they lost 2-1 at home.
KCCA FC will return to action as they host Bright Stars in the Lugogo floodlights with UPDF FC visiting Wakiso Giants on the 28th March.
