UPL: Tusubira Seals Home Victory for URA Against UPDF

Abraham Tusubira was the hero as URA edged UPDF 2-1 at Nakivubo, securing a crucial home win in the Uganda Premier League.

The Tax Collectors, eager to bounce back after their stumble against Kitara, took an early lead in the 11th minute through Moses Aliro. However, UPDF, riding on a two-game winning streak, fought back and found an equalizer in the 61st minute when Rashid Faridi finished brilliantly.

With the game finely poised, Tusubira delivered the decisive moment just five minutes later, restoring URA’s lead and ultimately securing all three points.

The victory marked URA’s ninth win of the season, lifting them above Kitara to 4th place on the league table after 19 matches.

Elsewhere, Wakiso Giants held title contenders NEC FC to a goalless draw at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.
