Vipers maintain their rediscovered form under interim coach John ‘Ayala’ Luyinda when they beat Police 2-1 at Kitende at under floodlights on Friday evening.
Allan Okello scored the hosts two goals with the Cops consolation coming in from Brian Obedi.
Okello gave hosts Vipers the lead as early as the seventh minute after Karim Watambala intercepted a misguided pass by Police Goal keeper Edward Kasibante only for ball to drop for Okello to shot into goal.
With two added minutes onto the opening 45, right footed Obedi leveled matters after receiving a good pass from striker Isaac Ogwang to cut inside past Derrick Ndahiro to curl the ball into the net past shot stopper Dennis Kiggundu on his left foot.

Eight minutes to Full time, substitute Mohamed Salem received the ball inside the 18 yard box only to smack the post, finding Okello in the right place at the right time to tap it in the rebound.
The brace took Okello’s goal tally to three (3) of the campaign, proving to be Venoms second most important player below Milton Karisa per statistics but top on naked eye.

This victory takes Vipers top on the League with 13 points, one ahead of NEC, who have played a game fewer at five while Police stay 10th on seven points.
In their next games, Vipers play next game away against Mbarara City on Tuesday 29th October while Police will host Mbale Heroes at Kavumba the following day this month.
Kitara suffered their Fourth loss of the campaign at to vistors BUL FC with a 1-3 results. BUL’s goals were scored by Martin Aprem, Walter Ochora and Dickson Mataama while hosts consolation was netted by Arthur Kiggundu.
