New Mbale Heroes Head Coach Baker Mbowa’s debut ended in defeat when visitors Mbarara City managed to edge the game 1-0 at Mbale Stadium on Thursday evening.
Mbarara’s only goal was scored by their seasoned talisman Henry Kitegenyi, who headed home with ten minutes left to the 90th minute mark.

This takes his goal tally to two for the current season.
For Mbowa’s Mbale Heroes, they find themselves at the bottom of the table with ten points from 16 teams.
With a bad start to the current season, Mbale which has so far had a bad stay in the top tier league, will hope that the new technical and playing staff revive their glory days.
Mbale Heroes FC have failed to pick positive results and relegation is a reality with just 14 games left to the end of the season.
The slim win lifts Mbarara City FC to tenth place on 20 points.
The other game of the day saw UPDF draw goalless with Hoima’s Kitara at the Bombo Military Grounds.
