UPL: Lugazi defeats struggling Mbale Heroes

Lugazi FC picked up their first ever win against Mbale Heroes in a 3-1 score a game played at Mbale Municipal Stadium in the Startimes Uganda Premier League.

Sam Ssemugugu, Hussein Seenoga and Sharif Saaka scored for the visitors as they picked up maximum points to move to the 9th position on the log with back to back wins.

Robert Eseru scored the consolation for struggling Mbale Heroes who have only managed to pick up two points from their last ten league games as they sit rock bottom on the log with just 10 points.

Lugazi FC dominated the game in a n organized despite being halted by heavy down pour at half time with the visitors in a comfortable 2-0 lead.

In the 56th minute Robert Eseru pulled a goal back but it wasn’t enough as Sharif restored a 2 goal lead for Lugazi after scoring the third goal in the 79yh minute.

Mbale Heroes will face URA FC away from home in their next league fixture with Lugazi hosting Maroons in Najjembe.
