UPL: Kitara concede Fourth season loss at home to BUL

Kitara Football Club conceded their Fourth loss of the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League Campaign to BUL at the Royals Park Stadium in Hoima on Friday evening.

The Royals lost the game 1-3 after letting in two first half goals from midfielder Martin Aprem and defender Walter Ochora before hosts’ defender Arthur Kiggundu pulling one back only for Dickson Mataama to seal it for the visitors.

In a game that started with high expectations from either side, both with huge hope and quality BUL seemed to be the hungrier side netting as early as the 4th minute.

Aprem netted as early as the 4th minute before Ochora doubling the lead Five (5) minutes later.

Kiggundu pulled one back in the 29th minute after a pin point corner to Patrick Kaddu who tried out an over head kick only straight away find the Left back’s head and later into the goal.

This result persistently prevailed and took the 1-2 result to halftime in favour of the visitors.

In the second half, Mataama sealed it for BUL to take home an emphatic win with 16 minutes left on the clock after poor season start.

This is Kitara’s fourth loss and third at home of the campaign and for BUL they secure second consecutive win this season after edging URA in previous Match day.

Currently the Royals lay in drop zone (14th) with 4 points while Oil makers go up to 8th with 8.

In their next games, Kitara will take a short trip to face URA’s home ground Nakivubo on Friday 1st November while BUL will host bottom side Bright stars on Tuesday 29th of the same month in Najjembe.
