Left back Fredrick Nicholas Kigozi scored the only goal of the game as Maroons edged Bright Stars at Kavumba on Thursday evening.
Kigozi’s goal came through a perfect finish with seventeen (17) minutes left to play powering the Prison side to their third win of the campaign.
For Bright stars, admist their search for a new coach, they fall to the fifth loss in 9 games limiting them to 6 points out of the possible 27 while the Prison men go up to 6th on the Log with 12 points.
In their next games, Bright Stars travel to Mbale to face Mbale Heroes on Thursday 28th November whereas Maroons host BUL in Luzira, a day after.
The other game of the evening saw BUL play out a one-all draw with Express FC in Najjembe
Sam Ssenyonjo was the man for Express when he leveled matters late in the game in-order to secure a hard fought point after Walter Ochora had put the hosts ahead two minutes to close the opening half.
