KCCA FC finally secured their first win of 2025 in emphatic fashion, thrashing bottom placed Mbale Heroes FC 5-0 at MTN Omondi Stadium on Saturday.
The victory ended their frustrating run of results, with their last triumph coming on December 15, 2024, against Wakiso Giants FC.
The Kasasiro Boys wasted no time asserting their dominance in a one sided contest. Arafat Usama Kizza opened the scoring with a stunning long range effort that left goalkeeper Simon Mabuya helpless.
Shafik ‘Nana’ Kwikiriza doubled the lead in the 26th minute, dribbling past two defenders before calmly slotting home.
Just before halftime, Sadat Happy Anaku made it three, capitalizing on a fumble from Mabuya after Kwikiriza’s low cross.
In the second half, Yan Gatbel extended the lead in the 72nd minute, and Sharif Ssengendo sealed the commanding win just three minutes later.
The much-needed victory lifts KCCA FC to sixth place on the table with 28 points, reigniting hopes for a strong finish to the season.
Meanwhile, Mbale Heroes FC remain rooted to the bottom with just 10 points, facing an uphill battle for survival.
On otherside, Mbarara City drew goalless with Relagation threatened Bright Stars at Kakyeka.
