Entebbe City Rollers Club held its second edition of the East African Speed Skating Marathon across Entebbe City on 17th August with Kenya emerging the overall winners as Uganda settled for second place in the final standings
A successful and entertaining event attracted skating clubs from across East Africa and neighbours. Clubs Uganda the hosts, Kenya, Rwanda and neighbours DR Congo produced a competitive marathon across Entebbe City.
Eldoret Skating Club on 25 points, Wales and Masaku Skating Club played a vital role which guided Kenya winners podium with a total of 61 points from 12 gold medals, 9 for silver and a 9 from bronze.
The hosts Entebbe City Rollers Club were Uganda’s biggest achievers with 14 points which guided team Uganda to a second place finish beating Rwanda in third place on 7 points and DR Congo in fourth on just two points .
