Uganda Lady Rugby Cranes finish third for the second time in two years to secure the women’s Rugby Africa 7s bronze medal in Accra, Ghana.
Uganda beat Madagascar 17-05 in an intense match thanks to tries from Grace Nabaggala and Grace Auma in the first half where Madagascar also managed one.

In the second half, Auma added to the Lady Rugby Cranes to seal off the third spot and Place in medal bracket.

Attaining the bronze medal meant Uganda grabbed a ticket to the 2025 World Rugby 7s Challenger Series something that made the Uganda Rugby Fans in Ghana happy and proud.

The tournament was won by South Africa and finalists Kenya came in second.

Group stage
Uganda went through Group C with a clean sheet of three victories over Zambia (31-07), Senegal and Côte D’Ivoire (48-00)to top Pool C.
Quarter-final
Uganda aggressively beat a physical Tunisia side by 17-12 points in the second quarterfinal on day Two to get into semifinal to face Kenya.
Semi-final
Uganda’s hopes to get into final were crashed by Kenya 19-00 in a game where the Lady Rugby Cranes did not score any points for the first time in the tournament getting booking a place in a third place play off.
Third Place
Uganda beat Madagascar by 17-05 points to win bronze.
