The Uganda Rugby Union has announced Postponement of all Match Day 6 league fixtures originally scheduled for this Saturday 15th Feb to 22nd February 2025.
This follows the unfortunate events from MD5, where Kampani Eagles’ player Kayondo Ronnie, succumbed to a head injury sustained from their loss against Buffaloes at Kyadondo, he passed on the next morning while receiving medical attention at Kampala Hospital.

Kayondo’s body was laid to rest on Tuesday at his Ancestral home in Kaduggala-Mirembe, Masaka district.

“In consideration of the shock and dismay that this has caused the entire rugby fraternity and in the spirit of solidarity and to mourn our dearly departed, the Uganda Rugby Union in consultation with the clubs’ leadership, key stakeholders and the wider rugby fraternity, resolved to reschedule all matches and allow for two weeks of mourning.”
