Rugby 7’s : Uganda Lady Rugby Cranes Sevens team to kick-start their quest for a spot at the World Rugby Sevens on Friday.

Just after winning the 2022 Africa Men’s Rugby 7’s, Uganda shifts its focus onto the 2022 Rugby Africa Women’s Sevens that will start on April 29th and end on 30th in Tunisia. A well blended team with vast experience and youth will represent Uganda at the event, with an aim of qualifying for the Rugby World Cup Sevens 2022.

This time round, nine nations put into three pools of three teams each will compete in the event. Uganda is in Pool B with Zambia and rivals Kenya.

Pools

Pool A
South Africa, Senegal, Zimbabwe.

Pool B
Kenya, Uganda, Zambia.

Pool C
Tunisia, Madagascar, Ghana.

Each team will play two games in the pool stage starting from 1pm in the afternoon. In the first round, Uganda will take on Zambia. In the third, they will take on Kenya after having a bye in the second.

Zimbabwe vs Senegal
Zambia vs Uganda
Ghana vs Tunisia

In Round Two.
South Africa vs Senegal
Zambia vs Kenya
Ghana vs Madagascar

In Round Three.
South Africa vs Zimbabwe
Uganda vs Kenya
Tunisia vs Madagascar

The Day One(29th April) results will determine who will play who in the knockout stage of the tournament thatwill be played on Day Two(30th April) .
