Uganda International series: 13 Ugandan shuttlers advance to quater-final stage

Thirteen (13) Ugandan shuttlers from the different categories advanced to the Quater final stage of the Uganda International Badminton series at Lugogo Indoor Arena.

The series that is in its day two (2) that has attracted over 10 countries across the globe in this years edition saw Uganda’s Shamika Fadilah qualify to quarter finals.

Shamika managed to beat nigeria’s Chineye Ibere 21-15, 21-16 in Women singles meaning that she will appear twice at this stage after also qualifying with Tracy Naluwooza in the Women Doubles after finishing second (2nd) in the Kampala International Future Series.

In the women doubles we shall have a variety of shuttlers while Uganda seed 1 Muzafaru Lubega in the mixed doubles will continue to team up with Verona Sadat Razavipour.

All Quaterfinal and semi-finals games will be played on Saturday 5th and the tournament will climax on Sunday 6th October 2024 with the finals .
