Uganda has secured Its spot in the semi finals of the CECAFA U17 AFCON qualifiers with a 5-0 win against Kenya today at the Hamz Stadium in Kampala to go top of group B.

James Bogere who scored a Hat-trick was accompanied by Magala Isima Mulala and Simon Wanyama on the score sheet to ensure a comeback from the opening match day draw against Tanzania.

The other Match played was a group A tie won by Somalia 1:0 against Sudan who just like Kenya, they exit without a single point.

Uganda will face defending champions Somalia who finished 2nd in group A while Tanzania will be up against South Sudan in the other Semifinal, both games will be played on Christmas eve.

Winners over these two ties will have booked their place at the 2025 Total energies U18 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, taking the two available slots.
