Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Put has unveiled a provisional squad of 26 players ahead of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 Qualifier matches against Burundi.
The Cranes will face Burundi in a two-legged tie, with both matches scheduled for Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo. The first leg will take place on December 26th, followed by the return leg on December 29th.
As co-hosts, Uganda, alongside Kenya and Tanzania, has already secured a spot at the CHAN 2024 tournament. Burundi, however, will compete for the fourth slot allocated to the region.
Preparations for the qualifiers will kick off with non-residential training on December 21st before the team enters camp at Nob View Hotel ahead of the crucial games.
The CHAN 2024 final tournament will run from February 1st to 28th, 2025.
