In an effort to revamp the spirit of badminton in the country, Uganda Badminton Association embarked on a journey that was set to see the game reach all the major parts of the country.
All roads led to Iganga Secondary School, in Busoga region where more than 10 schools in the region gathered to receive a badminton bliss from National Coaches, Mr. Kabindi William and Mr. Lule Ronald.

The meeting saw both teachers and students from attending schools go through different dynamics of the game, opportunities and carrier development programs with-in the sport.

Teachers where taken through the basics of coaching a student as a Physical Education activity, an activity that was demonstrated with skills necessary to play the game.
At the end of the program all participating schools received some starter equipment to help them shuttle off the badminton journey in their respective schools.

Uganda badminton Association through their President Ms. Nakamya Annet say that they don’t plan to stop as they will prepare to go deeper in the East as far as Sebei region to ensure that there is talent development;

“The road map for the development of badminton in the country was designed to reach all major towns in the country, at least all the regions which are publically accessible”, Said Nakamya affirmed.
