UBCL: Ukasha promises to take down Kanaabi

Uganda Boxing Champions League returns this Saturday with the national team ‘Bombers’ captain Matovu Ukasha back in the ropes

The fierce boxer from COBAP Boxing Club will face Alex Kanaabi from KCCA Boxing Club in week 13’s main fight .

This Walter-weight bout on Saturday, 9th November will be Ukasha’s third for fight in the UBCL season 3 following two back to back wins against Edward Mukwaya and Sande Simon.

During the weigh in that took place on Friday morning outside the MTN arena in Lugogo, the same venue for this fight, Ukasha rallied all enthusiasts of the sport to come watch him expose his prowess.

“I heard he is from KCCA, his job is to clean our city.” Ukasha stated

“I’m going to show him that boxing has it’s real owners.” ~Ukasha spitting fire in the presence of his opponent.

“My mother is a hawker, and you work for KCCA. That should be enough to tell you what going to happen tomorrow.” He concluded

For Kanaabi , he had a few words for Ukasha;

“I can only promise you a win tomorrow as I face Ukasha Matovu” he said

This will be the main fight of the day away from the second corporate edition which will see Fauzia Nakiboneka take on Laura Ndagire.

Nakiboneka during the weigh in today, came out to assure Ndagire that she will be taking her back to the Palace;

“I am going to beat the Princess so she can go back to the Palace” she said

Adding that; “I want to show her that the ring is made for people like us not her”

“I will beat her so that she can later hire me to be her bodyguard ” she concluded

Laura Ndagire on the otherside promised to chew Nakiboneka;

“Ngenda kumekeeta mekeeta omuntu wamwe” she started in Luganda language which meant am gonna eat up your fighter.

In the other fights of the day:

KOL.H ‘s Tumusiime Nerrick will take on Serugo Bashir of Zebra Boxing Club in the Light Middle weight contest just like Kibira Owen and Mawanda DePark.

In the Light Welterweight contest, Magumba Reagan (Lukanga) take on Kimera Eddy (Kyengera)

For Ssemugaire John from Katabi, he will tussle it out with Gulu’s Okello Ronald in a Middle weight contest.
