U19 Cricket World Cup: Uganda drawn in group B with South Africa and India

The Uganda U-19 Cricket team, the baby Cricket Cranes has been drawn with India, South Africa and Ireland at next year’s World Cup in West Indies.

Uganda qualified for the final tournament after emerging as African regional Champions in October this year.

Uganda will face the three test nations between January 3rd and February 4th, 2022.

This will be the Baby Cranes’ third appearance at the junior global showpiece after featuring in the 2004 and 2006 editions in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka respectively.

Ahead of that final’s tournament, the Baby Cranes’ technical team has summoned 25 players to start preparations for the global showpiece.

They are scheduled to have a build-up tour in India scheduled for November 19th – December 9th 2021.

Uganda is expected to be in West Indies on January 3rd where they will have their 1st warm-up game with Sri Lanka  before the tournament.
