FIFA U17 WWCQ: Teen Cranes blow away Namibia in First Leg

Uganda U17 Women’s National Team, Teen Cranes blew away Namibia with red hot performance spear headed by Captain Agnes Nabukenya in the the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers First Leg.

put up a scintilating performance to obliterate Namibia in the first leg of (first round).

Nabukenya registered six goals in the one-sided affair to power her teammates with hope, four of them coming in the opening half at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo on Thursday.

Martha Babirye who broke the dreadlock just six minutes into the game, Rinah Ariho, Joan Kizza Namulindwa and Isabella Blick Kabarozi all joined in to compliment the scoring spree.

With extreme Liberty, coach Sheryl Botes made changes at half time, bringing on goalkeeper Sharifah Namutebi for Haira Nabbosa as Joan Kizza Namulidwa and Rashidah Nakalema replaced Shadia Nabirye and Cynthia Kirenga respectively.

The second half saw goals after the hour mark, Namulidwa netting in the 65th minute before Nabukenya completing her six goal haul.

However Uganda Martyrs, Teens Cranes and substitute Isabella Blick Kabarozi made it a special 10 with calm finish in the 80th minute.

Therefore this result gives Uganda a satisfying margin going into the second leg on Sunday at the same venue.

Winner on aggregate between Uganda and Namibia will take on Kenya at the second qualification phase.
