United Kingdom-based 21-year old Tyrhys Lukonyomoi says that to represent Uganda will be his dream come true.
Born in May 2000, Lukonyomoi is a son of a Lira born woman Judith Lukonyomoi, who is a daughter to Mary Abelkec Lukonyomoi who escaped the country for United Kingdom in 1989 after the civil
The 21-year old father is of Nigerian descent, but not much information is known about him.
” My long-term goal is to represent the Ugandan National Team and play in one of the top five leagues in Europe” Lukonyomoi said in the information provided to this website.
“My short term is to play at a semi professional level while achieving my university degree because
I would like to contribute to taking a national league side into league two” he said.
The youngster has featured for Oxford U19 (2015/16), Didcot Town Reserves (2017/18), and Oxford United Development (2018/19)
He currently plays for Portsmouth University and Portchester playing as a striker and a winger occasionally.

For Portsmouth University, he was second top scorer last season and had the most assists. He was also voted the Player’s Player of the Year.
For Portchester, he has a 69 goal contribution since 2021 having found the back of the net 49 times and assisted his teammates 20 times.
