Transfers: Alfred Leku closing in on Zambia move

Former Arua Hill SC forward Alfred Leku has agreed terms to join Zambia Super League side Zesco United, TheTouchline Sports sources understand.

Leku is currently a free agent after having failed to agree a contract extension at Arua based side.

Leku signed a two-year employment contract with the Kongolo in 2020 and it expired at the end of last season.

He finished last season as Arua Hill’s topscorer with 11 league goals netted in 27 games. Leku also assisted his teammates four times.

The physically well built player has previously featured at Vipers SC, Express FC, Proline FC, Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy FC and Extension Gunners

Zesco United have won the Zambia Super League nine times in their history and are one of only 3 Zambian clubs including Nkana and Green Buffaloes who hold an all time unbeaten home record against non Zambian opposition.
