Under the golden Kampala skies, the Victoria Pearls shone brightest, completing a flawless 5–0 whitewash over Canada Women to retain the Victoria Series title at Lugogo Oval.

The final match ended in a thrilling 12-run victory that sealed Uganda’s supremacy and delighted the home crowd.

Opting to bat first after being sent in, Uganda built steadily before producing a late flourish to post a defendable total of 101 for 4 in their 20 overs.

The disciplined batting effort set the tone for what would become another commanding performance with the ball.

Canada’s response faltered early under sustained pressure, and despite a few promising partnerships, they were bundled out for 89.

The hosts’ bowlers maintained tight lines and nerves of steel, ensuring the visitors never quite caught up with the run rate.

The final wicket sparked jubilant celebrations as Uganda wrapped up the series without conceding a single match.

At the post-match presentation, the Victoria Pearls received their gold medals and trophy from LycaMobile Uganda executives alongside Cricket Uganda officials.

The atmosphere was electric as players, fans, and administrators united in celebration of another milestone in Ugandan women’s cricket.

Captain Janet Mbabazi hailed her team’s consistency and discipline, saying,

“I’m happy we met our targets and showed maturity against a new opponent. The girls’ hard work is finally paying off.

This win builds our confidence ahead of the next international engagement when we go to Thailand.”

Marking her 100th international appearance, team MVP Immaculate Nakisuuyi reflected on the group’s unity:

“It’s good momentum for us as we prepare for the next major tournament.

Everyone executed their roles perfectly, and we carry all the positive energy from this series forward.”

Canadian captain Amarpal Kaur praised the experience gained, noting,

“Despite the results, we’ve learned a lot about playing in new conditions and handling pressure. We’ll come back stronger.”

Across the five T20I matches played at the Lugogo Cricket Oval, Uganda’s Victoria Pearls delivered a commanding performance to whitewash Canada Women 5–0.

The hosts began their campaign with a confident seven-wicket win in the series opener, followed it up with a tense four-wicket victory in game two, and then tightened their grip with an 18-run triumph in the third encounter.

They dominated the fourth match, cruising to a 43-run win, before sealing the series in style with a 12-run victory in the fifth and final showdown.

With their clean sweep at home complete, the Victoria Pearls now turn their focus to Thailand—carrying with them pride, purpose, and the promise of even greater success on the international stage.
