Uganda Premier League has set June 16th, 2022 as the tentative date for the 2021/22 StarTimes Uganda Premier League End of the Season Awards.
This was announced during the press conference held at Kati Kati Restaurant on Tuesday afternoon.
These awards are making a return, nearly five years since they were last held in the 2016/17 season when Geoffrey Sserukuma took home the best player’s award
“We are glad to have these awards back bigger and better after some couple of years thanks to Pilsner Lager who we have had a successful relationship with for the past few seasons” UPL board member Peter Kibazo said while addressing the media on Tuesday.
As announced in January during the launch, players and coaches from 13 categories that have been lined up will be rewarded and recognized.
The Player’s player of the Season and Coach’s Player of the Season will be determined by the players and head coaches.
The Best Players of the Season will be nominated and voted by the public, technical panel and other stakeholders.
Other awards will automatically chosen according to statistics like Top Goalscorer of the season and Most Assists Awards.
At the same event, Kati Kati Gardens in Lugogo has been set as the proposed venue for these awards.

- Platinum Award
