Uganda Premier League table leaders KCCA FC visit the defending champions Vipers in a fierce league battle as they target to maintain their perfect start in league yet to lose a game from the five played sitting at top of the log with 11 points.
The league defending champions endured a late start in the league with continental engagements with also a new league format whereby they failed to take part in hence playing just once in away win against newly promoted side Entebbe UPPC FC.

KCCA FC head to Kitende on back of a 4-2 victory at home against Calvary FC in Lugogo which instills much hope of a positive result into their Coach Jackson Magera .
Magera will be in charge for the third game in a row in the absence of Brian Senyondo who is away on international duty with the Cubs squad for the U17 World Cup tournament in Qatar. He remains aware of the challenge that Vipers present at home but optimistic about the Cityzens chances of a positive result.

“We have to have self-belief that we can play and get a result against them at their home, said Magera.
“We have prepared well tactically and mentally, we now need to play with responsibility, reduce mistakes and take our chances in this fixture.” He added
Vipers head coach Ivan Jacky Minnaert has been vocal about the need for his team to show up and make a statement. The defending champions may have lacked fluency in their 1-0 victory over Entebbe, but Minnaert is determined to get his team back to their best.
“We didn’t start perfect at Bugonga, we know that. But we got the job done. And now we switch on. The boys are motivated to make a statement here at home,” said Minnaert.

Kitende has always been a fortress for Vipers, and despite their slow start to the season, they will be determined to assert themselves in front of their home fans.
Minnaert is well aware that this is more than just a match for three points it’s about showing their quality and demonstrating why they are the defending champions.
With KCCA FC flying high and Vipers SC in need of a big performance to turn around their season, this match promises to be an exciting spectacle.
The clash at Kitende will not only test the champions’ credentials but will also be a litmus test for KCCA FC’s title ambitions as they will be facing a more creative midfield dominated by their former players in Allan Okello and Arafat Usama.

For the Kasasiro boys, they are delighted to welcome back striker Derrick Nsibambi and James Mubezi despite missing out on the injured Brazillian Joao Gabriel, Etienne Katenga and Rodgers Mugisha who are side lined
