Kyetume FC forward Robert Ssentongo and Busoga United head coach Abbey Kikomeko have been voted as the StarTimes Uganda Premier league player and manager of the month of February 2020 respectively.
The awarding ceremony was held on Monday morning at Kati Kati restaurant.
Ssentongo beat off competition from club teammate Joel Mutakubwa and Busoga United’s David Bagoole who also had sublime contributions in the same month.
Ssentongo scored 6 goals in 5 February SUPL matches and helped Kyetume FC move up to the table upto 9th position.
Kikomeko beat Mbarara City’s Brain Ssenyondo and SC Villa’s Edward Kaziba in a close contest for the month’s major accolade.
He helped Busoga United win 4 of their 5 SUPL games ,only losing to Bright Stars FC at the beginning of the month.
Both Ssentongo and Kikomeko walked away with a token of 1 million Ugandan shillings each.
URA FC’s duo of Sam Ssimbwa and Cromwell Rwothomio won the awards in January 2020.
