URA FC forward Cromwell Rwothomio and his coach Sam Ssimbwa have been voted as the StarTimes Uganda Premier League player and manager for the month of January 2020 respectively.
The first UPL monthly awards of 2019-20 SUPL Second round were held on Monday morning at Kati Kati Restaurant.
Ssimbwa beat off competition from Busoga United’s Abbey Kikomeko and Bright Stars’ Paul Kiwanuka who have had decent performances too in the same month.
Ssimbwa’s URA FC remains unbeaten since the start of the second round having played five games, winning four and drawing one.

Am happy to be here and I give special thanks to my players and backroom staff, We are focused on winning as many games as possible this season.
Said Ssimbwa after wining the award.
Cromwell beat teammate Saidi Kyeyune and Police’s Ben Ocen in a close contest. Cromwell scored 4 goals in 4 games scoring a brace against BUL, the only goal against Bright Stars and one against KCCA.

Both Ssimbwa and Cromwell walked away with a token of 1 million Ugandan shillings each.
Maroons FC’s Mukwala Steven and KCCA FC manager Mike Mutebi won the awards in November.
