Nansana ASKA Futsal Club has been shaken by the sudden resignation of head coach Sulaiman Sekanyo Sulaiman, coming just days after the team’s 6–2 loss to Lubaga Grameen on the opening weekend of the 2025/26 betPawa Futsal Super League.

Sulaiman officially stepped down on Tuesday, 28th October 2025, citing personal and professional commitments that will prevent him from fully dedicating himself to the club’s ambitions this season.

“I appreciate the trust and opportunity to guide this team, but due to other engagements, I am unable to commit the time needed to drive the club forward,” his resignation letter read.

On the court, ASKA’s season started on the wrong foot as they struggled to contain Grameen’s exciting firepower — with Frank Ssebatta netting a hat-trick and Reagan Kimbugwe adding a brace in a dominant showing at Old Kampala Sports Arena.

Sulaiman’s departure now places the club in a difficult position ahead of their next challenge.
ASKA will take on Edgars Youth Programme this weekend in Matchday Two — a clash that suddenly carries high stakes for a team still searching for direction.

Edgars, meanwhile, are also chasing their first points of the season after falling just short in a thrilling 4–3 defeat to Kabowa Dream Team. Their spirited performance suggests they will come into the fixture ready to exploit ASKA’s current instability.
