Vipers SC will be aiming to extend their lead atop of the Uganda Premier League log when they make a trip to Bombo to face UPDF FC at the Bombo Military Stadium on Friday evening.
The Vipers are currently top of the log with 39 points, three points above second placed KCCA FC and a win over the Army Side would extend that lead to six points ahead of KCCA tricky game against Onduparaka on Saturday.
In this same fixture early on in the season, the Venoms trumphed UPDF 7-2 with goals from Ceasar Manzoni, Yunus Sentamu, Milton Karisa and Bobosi Byaruhanga .
UPDF currently occupy 8th position on the log with 21 points garnered in 17 matches and are just six points above the
relegation line.
They are winless in their last eight games, drawing four times and losing the other four. Their last victory came at the start of December with a home 2-1 victory over Soltilo Bright Stars.
Despite winning the first leg heavily, Vipers SC assistant coach Marcelo Cardoso predicts a difficult opponent this time round
